1818 25C B-10, R.3, XF45 PCGS. Tompkins Die State 3/2 with a double set of clash marks near the date and denomination. Iridescent apple-green, rose-red, and lemon-gold toning endow the borders, while the fields and motives are pearl-gray. Thorough inspection reveals unimportant marks near star 9 and Liberty's neck.Ex: Jonathan Kern, 11/1989; Purchased for $2,000 from Jason Carter and Summit Rare Coins, 3/2008; Denis W.
