Eliasberg's B-8 1818 Quarter, MS62
1818 25C MS62 NGC. B-8, R.3. Ex: Eliasberg. The gunmetal-gray surfaces reveal golden-brown centers and blue-green borders when the coin is rotated beneath a light. The strike is bold except for the claws and a couple of left-side stars. Luster illuminates design elements and no marks are worthy of further comment. B-8 is certainly scarcer than the "usual" Normal Date varieties, B-2 and B-4.Ex: Louis E. Eliasberg, Sr. Collection (Heritage, 4/1997), lot 1370.(Registry values: P2)
