1818 25C MS66 NGC. B-2, R.1. This is one of the more easily obtainable varieties of this Capped Bust quarter production, but the awesome technical quality of this coin certainly sets it apart from most, if not all other representatives of this die marriage. This is a simply gorgeous Premium Gem with richly toned gray, green, gold, red, and blue surfaces. Both sides are frosty in texture with well centered, sharply defined features and only the lightest striking softness over the highpoints of Liberty's hair curls and the eagle's talons. There are no mentionable abrasions on this coin, destined for a fine type or date set.
