Description

PCGS 1818 MS 62. Normal Date. Narrow dentils on both sides with the long arcing die crack at the top of the obverse that is common to Browning varieties 2, 4, 5, 6, and 7. There are a couple of pecks in the center of the obverse and there is a small grease stain (as struck) that looks like a tine sprouting from the left wing on the reverse. Satiny luster throughout with a light layer of golden toning on each side. The most "common" date of the Large Size quarters, but still a rare and desirable coin with only 15 pieces having been certified by PCGS (1/93) as MS 63 with 31 in higher grades.
