Description

1818 B-4 Quarter, Terminal Die State

1818 MS 60 Obverse Scratches. B-4c, R.1. Satiny luster is overlaid by streaks of charcoal-gray that have an underlying golden, rose, and lilac iridescence. Very sharply struck throughout. Unfortunately, this otherwise pleasing coin is marred by several scratches on the left side of the obverse toward the rim. However, the depth of the peripheral toning tends to obscure the negative effects of these somewhat.
