Description
Extraordinary Choice BU 1818 Quarter Dollar
1818 MS 64 NGC. B-2, R.1. Sharply struck throughout with multiple layerings of medium gray-golden color spread across both sides. Some sea-green accents are also noted at the border areas. The luster seems a bit subdued because of the patina, but is actually fully present as one can tell when the coin is examined beneath a light. Struck from a later state of the dies and showing a peripheral die crack on the obverse. Very scarce in such lofty condition. From the Christopher Young Collection.
