Description
Lustrous MS 64 1818 Quarter
1818 25C MS 64 PCGS. B-3, R.1.Even though both sides are coated in an even layering of tobacco-brown toning, the underlying luster booms through and rolls around the surfaces virtually unimpeded. Well struck in most areas with only slight softness on the highpoints of the curls on the obverse and the eagle's left (facing) wing. A very pleasing near-Gem example of this challenging early type. Population: 34 in 64, 20 finer (2/01).From the Christopher Young Collection.
