1818/5 25C B-1, R.2, MS63 PCGS. CAC. Tompkins Die State 3/4.
The reverse shows clash marks and a heavy die crack that begins at
the border over the second T in STATES, through that letter and the
scroll, continuing through the eagle's beak, and reaching the left
corner of the shield. This Select Mint State example shows the
usual central strike weakness that is typical of the design. Both
sides have light silver-gray surfaces with delicate gold and
iridescent toning. Population: 12 in 63, 43 finer. CAC: 4 in 63, 16
