Description
1818/5 25C AU 55 NGC. B-1, R.1. A wholly original example that displays a mixture of steel-violet and coppery-gold color along with subtle greenish-gray peripheral toning on the obverse. There is a hint of softness on Liberty's highest curls and more extensive bluntness on the eagle's neck and head. The reverse is the scene of an extensive network of die cracks that clearly indicates a terminal die state.
