1820 B-1 Quarter, AU55 CAC
Large 0; Very Scarce Marriage

1820 25C Large 0, B-1, R.4, AU55 PCGS. CAC. Mustard-steel surfaces contain attractive russet highlights illuminating the design elements, with natural silver color stronger on the reverse. Combined with the minimal abrasions, and these attributes create stunning eye appeal that achieved CAC approval. Three different 0 punches were used for the dates of quarters in 1820 -- Large, Medium, and Small. The present Large 0 was used on B-1 and B-2, which share an obverse die. I3 is centered under T3, confirming the attribution of the very scarce B-1.
