Description

1821 MS 64 NGC. B-5, R.5. The obverse field has a subtle reflectivity that adds even more to the already considerable eye appeal of this piece. But, as stated, this is a subtle effect with other elements more dominant when one first views the coin. The strike is unusually bold in the centers but a trifle weak on several of the stars at the periphery. A deeply toned Bust quarter, steel-violet in the centers and changing to bluish-green about the stars and lettering. Population: 11 in 64, only 4 finer.
