Description
Original, Lightly Toned 1821 Quarter
1821 MS 64 PCGS. B-5, R.5. Lustrous and well struck, this is one of the better looking Capped Bust quarters we have seen in some time. Each side is attractively and lightly toned with a pale golden shade the dominant color over the nearly brilliant mint luster. The only defects we see are a couple of long vertical scratches in the field behind the head of Liberty and a short, curved dig in the left obverse field in front of the nose of Liberty.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23RM, PCGS# 5331, GSID# 5068)
