Description
Superb Quality 1821 Bust Quarter--One of the Finest Known
1821 MS 67 PCGS. B-4, R.3. This extraordinary coin is nearly perfect with a bold strike and highly reflective, prooflike fields. The surfaces are pristine, and even under magnification reveal only insignificant contact. Natural, light, streaky golden color is seen over each side, deepening just a bit around the rims. Rivaled in condition only by the 1825 MS 67 last sold by RARCOA in 1997, and the Eliasberg:1818 coin. This exceptional piece represents the very essence of rare numismatic material. From the Benson Collection. Population: 1 in 67, none are finer (12/98).Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23RM, PCGS# 5331, Greysheet# 5068)
Weight: 6.74 grams
Metal: 89.24% Silver, 10.76% Copper
