Description
Impressive 1822 Bust Quarter, AU58, B-1
1822 25C AU58 NGC. B-1, R.2. Normal denomination on the reverse. The 1822 quarter sells for only a small premium, despite having a low mintage of 64,080 pieces, divided between two known die marriages. This is a truly impressive near-Mint example with deep gold, rose, and electric-blue toning that dominates the underlying gray patina over each side. Only traces of highpoint wear are noted on the highpoints of the design, and abrasions are nearly nonexistent. From The Findley Collection.(Registry values: P3)
