Description

1822 B-1 Quarter, MS62
Lightly Toned, Few Marks

1822 25C B-1, R.2, MS62 PCGS. A hint of butter-gold toning visits both sides, but this minimally marked Bust quarter is otherwise brilliant. Luster dominates the margins and motifs. The stars and claws show incompleteness, but the remainder of the strike is crisp. B-1 is the usually seen 1822 variety, easily distinguished from the rare B-2 by a normal, centered 25 C.
