1824/2 B-1 Quarter, XF40
Better Capped Bust Date
1824/2 25C B-1, R.3, XF40 PCGS. Tompkins Die State 1/1. Only
one 1824-dated die pair was struck. It is an 1824/2 overdate, but
only traces of the underdigit 2 are evident. B-1 is scarce overall
and surprisingly rare in AU and better grades. This XF
representative has pearl-white high points and dusky lavender-gray
borders. Liberty displays wear on the cheek and curls, but most
