1824/2 25C B-1, R.3, XF45 PCGS. Only one die pair was used
for the quarter dollars bearing the 1824 date, and they are all
1824/2 overdates, adding demand to an already scarce issue from a
mintage of 168,000 coins, a figure that included many pieces dated
1825. This attractive Choice XF piece has light silver-gray devices
with pewter-gray fields and a few splashes of iridescence.
