Very Scarce Mint State 1824/2 Quarter
1824/2 MS 62 NGC. B-1, the only variety, R.3. Both sides are warmly toned in steel-violet and sea-green shades, the latter color most evident in the peripheral areas. The strike is just a trifle soft on a few of the stars, the highpoints of the portrait, and on the eagle's talons, not uncommon for this scarce issue. Population: 2 in 62, none finer (10/98).Coin Index Numbers: (PCGS# 5335, GSID# 5102)
