1825/4/2 B-1 Quarter, AU53
Very Scarce Guide Book Variety
1825/4/2 25C B-1, R.5, AU53 PCGS Secure. Tompkins Die State
2/2. The rare late die state with die chips between the flag and
curve of the 5 in the date. All three Browning varieties for 1825
are overdates. The final two are 1825/4/(2), while the present
variety is an 1825/(4)/2. As such, Browning-1 earns its own
Guide Book listing. This predominantly silver-white example
exhibits peripheral russet-brown and cobalt-blue toning. The
