Very Scarce Guide Book Variety

1825/4/2 25C B-1, R.5, AU53 PCGS Secure. Tompkins Die State 2/2. The rare late die state with die chips between the flag and curve of the 5 in the date. All three Browning varieties for 1825 are overdates. The final two are 1825/4/(2), while the present variety is an 1825/(4)/2. As such, Browning-1 earns its own Guide Book listing. This predominantly silver-white example exhibits peripheral russet-brown and cobalt-blue toning. The well-defined surfaces display only unimportant marks.
