    1825/4/(2) Bust Quarter, MS63
    Popular B-2 Variety

1825/4/(2) 25C B-2, R.2, MS63 PCGS. Tompkins Die State 1/1. Actually, a little past the "perfect" state of the reverse die, with the mere beginnings of a die crack above the left serif of I in UNITED, but it does not descend into the field below. The fields and devices of this Browning-2 quarter are remarkably unabraded -- only one or two minor marks are visible with a loupe. A bit of rim chatter is visible with a glass but is minor. The strike is generally sharp except on the middle cap fold and the eagle's forward-right (facing) talon. Attractive shades of amber-gold and lilac-gray blanket lustrous surfaces. Population: 6 in 63, 14 finer (2/20). (NGC ID# 23RS, Variety PCGS# 38975, Base PCGS# 5336)

    Weight: 6.74 grams

    Metal: 89.24% Silver, 10.76% Copper
