Description

1828 25C 25 Over 50C, B-3, R.5, VG8 PCGS. The reverse die with a blundered denomination was first used to strike the rare 1822 B-2, and resurfaced six years later to coin the 1828 B-3. A challenging Guide Book variety, much more difficult to locate than the 1828 B-1. The cream-gray surfaces show expected wear but marks are confined to two field ticks beneath the bust tip.
