25 Over 50C Guide Book Variety
1828 25C 25 Over 50C, B-3, R.5, XF40 PCGS. After a six-year
repose in the Mint die workshop, the blundered denomination reverse
was retrieved to strike the present rare Guide Book variety.
This well-defined example provides delicate wheat-gold and slate
toning. Glimpses of luster emerge from design recesses, and the
glossy surfaces are only lightly abraded. Population: 2 in 40, 13
