Description

1828 B-4 Quarter, MS63
Blue and Brown Beauty

1828 25C B-4, R.3, MS63 PCGS. Steel-blue, lilac, and russet-brown comprise the primary coloration on this wonderful quarter. A strong strike has boldly impressed all design elements, and abrasions are absent from the surfaces. The B-4 was the final die marriage of the Large Diameter Bust quarter series, and represented the first circulation strikes produced since 1825. Each of the four die marriages used a different reverse die, with all but the B-4's reverse carried over from previous years.
