1831 Large Letters Quarter, MS64
Repunched Date, B-5
1831 25C Large Letters, B-5, FS-301, R.3, MS64 NGC. The 1s
in the date are repunched over smaller 1s. This Choice Capped Bust
quarter displays deep peach-gold, powder-blue, and lilac-red
toning. The strike is sharp except on the lowest stars. The satiny
surfaces exhibit only minor marks. B-5 and the rare B-7 share the
same obverse die, but B-5 has much larger arrowheads.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23RW, Variety PCGS# 38984, Base PCGS# 5349, Greysheet# 212958)
