1831 B-2 Quarter, MS64
CAC-Approved; Small Letters
1831 25C Small Letters, B-2, R.2, MS64 NGC. CAC. Tompkins
Die State 1/3. Silver surfaces are illuminated by regions of toffee
toning, with hints of steel-blue present on the reverse as well.
Notable striking weakness is limited to the eagle's neck, and even
still, is minor. The present B-2 is not one of the most common die
marriages of the year, although at R.2, it is far from rare. It can
be identified by its wide arrowheads and short, wide period after
