1831 25C Small Letters MS64 NGC. B-2, R.2. The last die state identified by Tompkins, with the reverse die crack between UNITED and STATES developing a crack to the rim. Lustrous surfaces show peripheral electric-blue, lavender, and russet toning framing brilliant centers. Well struck and revealing just a few minor handling marks. Census for the issue: 69 in 64, 31 finer (2/10).(Registry values: P1)
