Description

1831 MS 65. This lovely Reduced Size quarter has taken on the patina of many years over each side. The obverse is toned a bright red in the center and is surrounded by turquoise, while the center of the reverse is mostly untoned and framed by a speckling of that same rich turquoise as seen on the obverse. Well struck on the obverse but showing some softness of highpoint detail on the upper portion of the eagle's wings on the reverse. Minimally abraded with excellent mint luster.
