1832 B-1 Quarter, MS64
Tied for Second Finest in Rea Census
1832 25C B-1, R.1, MS64 PCGS. Blue-steel and peach toning
intersperse to make a wonderful multicolored patina. Abrasions are
nonexistent, and strike is sharp, particularly on the reverse
eagle, which is superlative. The 1832 quarter only contains two die
marriages, united by a common obverse and differentiated by
separate reverses. This example does not appear to be any of the
three listed in the Rea-Koenings-Haroutunian census, and that
listing only includes one finer example, in 65.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23RX, Variety PCGS# 38987, Base PCGS# 5351, GSID# 212961)
