Enchanting Gem Prooflike 1833 Quarter, B-2
1833 25C MS65 Prooflike NGC. B-2, R.2. No period on the reverse, the most obvious and lone necessary diagnostic for the die pair. The present example is a remarkable piece in all respects, from the blue-green, sapphire, violet, and rose toning that drapes each side to the considerable reflectivity that shines through the patina. Excellent striking definition with remarkable preservation; neither fields nor devices exhibit a single individually mentionable flaw. All factors combine for a gorgeous summation of eye appeal. The finer of just two Prooflike pieces certified by NGC (11/08).From The Scott Rudolph Collection.
