Description
1834 25C B-3, R.3, AU58 NGC. Tompkins Die State 2/2. Bars clashed at the ear. It is likely that this variety was actually struck in 1835, as the reverse die appears in earlier states for both the 1834 B-4 and 1835 B-1. This pewter-gray example approaches Uncirculated condition, the devices showing a hint of rub over the high points. Luster emerges from the star recesses and reverse legends.From The Reilly Cody Collection, Part II.
