Description

1834 Quarter, B-4, MS63
Capped Bust Type Coin

1834 25C B-4, R.1, MS63 PCGS. The obverse shoes recutting on star 10 and the reverse is extensively cracked. As a date, the 1834 quarter is one of the more plentiful issues for the type in Mint State, but is nonetheless elusive above the MS63 grade level. This Select example shows a pleasing central strike and satiny luster, with aquamarine peripheries and pale champagne-gray centers. A few light luster grazes limit the grade. Population (all varieties included): 24 in 63, 60 finer (7/15).
