Description
1834 B-4 Quarter, MS63
Sumptuous Satiny Survivor
1834 25C B-4, R.1, MS63 PCGS. Satin luster covers untoned
ivory surfaces. Scattered marks are grade-consistent. Strike is
exquisite, with no details left unimpressed. The reverse has
several die cracks that are usually seen on even the earliest die
states of this plentiful variety. As the only use of the reverse
die, some of the reverse cracks probably occurred during the
hardening stage before the die actually saw use.Ex: Long Beach Signature (Heritage, 9/2013), lot 3647; Dallas Signature (Heritage, 11/2017), lot 16464.
