1835 B-2 Quarter, Sharp MS64+
Frosty Capped Bust Type Coin
1835 25C B-2, R.2, MS64+ NGC. The 1835 boasts the highest
mintage of the Capped Bust quarter type (approaching 2 million
coins) but is no more plentiful in Mint State than other Small
Diameter issues. This Plus-graded Choice example is ideal for type
purposes. The strike is sharp throughout each side, and the
virtually brilliant luster is attractively frosted and free of
significant abrasions. A few small, mint-made grease marks appear
along the lower reverse border. Census (all varieties included): 19
