1836 25C B-3, R.1, MS64+ NGC. Tompkins Die State 4/4. Splendid aquamarine toning fills the peripheries. The fields and motifs display almond-gold and stone-gray shades. This coruscating quarter is minimally abraded and sharply struck. Despite the several die cracks on both sides, the coin is only a middle-to-late die state, since it lacks cracks across the cheek and over the 3 in the date.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23S3, Variety PCGS# 39007, Base PCGS# 5355, GSID# 212980)
