Description

1836 25C B-5, High R.6, PCGS Genuine. Browning 5 is by far the rarest of the five 1836 quarter die marriages. This piece has a PCGS number ending in .92, suggesting Cleaning as the reason, or perhaps one of the reasons, that PCGS deemed this coin not gradable. In our opinion, this coin has the details of a Fine specimen that has been polished. Wear is even, and the design elements are slightly glossy. Each side shows bright steel-gray color with bits of olive toning in the fields.
