Impressive B-2 1836 Quarter, MS63 ★
1836 25C MS63 ★ NGC. B-2, R.2. The finer of just two 1836-dated quarters to be awarded the Star designation by NGC (2/10), this piece is of the B-2 variety, boldly clashed with a die crack running from top to bottom of the portrait. Though softly struck at the obverse stars, this Select piece has a well-defined center. Minimally toned fields offer a measure of reflectivity, which doubtless influenced the graders who awarded the Star.(Registry values: P3)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23S3, PCGS# 5355, GSID# 5092)
