1837 B-1 Quarter, MS66

1837 25C B-1, R.3, MS66 PCGS. Tompkins Die State 3/2. The obverse has a crack meandering through the lower portion of the die from the border at star 2, through star 1 and the drapery, the lower curls, reaching stars 13 and 12. A short connecting die crack extends vertically from the top of the 7. The reverse is cracked through D STATE. This lovely Premium Gem presents stunning iridescent toning on both sides with fully lustrous, satin surfaces. The design definition is mostly sharp although a few stars lack complete detail. Population for all varieties: 6 in 66, 4 finer (3/25).
