Well-Struck, Carefully Preserved
1838 25C B-1, R.1, MS63 PCGS. Dusky walnut-brown and
gunmetal-gray blend throughout this coruscating and crisply struck
representative. The fields are uncommonly free of contact for the
MS63 level, and Liberty's cheek and neck display only minute and
unobtrusive marks. The sole Capped Bust die variety for 1838, a
year of transition to the Seated type.Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 23S5, Variety PCGS# 39015, Base PCGS# 5357, GSID# 393250)
