Description
1838 25C AU 50 ANACS. B-1, the only known dies, R.1. The otherwise golden-copper patina yields to swaths of blue-gray haziness near the left peripheries. The strike is characteristically soft over the obverse star centrils, but the focal features are well detailed despite light wear.
