1838 25C MS61 NGC. B-1, R.1. The final date of the Bust quarter series. Only one die pair was used despite a reported mintage of 366,000 pieces, which suggests a majority of that production was coined from 1837-dated dies. This is a satiny example with tan-gray centers and attractive blue-green and rose-red margins. One hair-thin mark noted on the cheek and neck.(Registry values: P2)
