1825/4/2 25C B-1, R.5, XF40 PCGS Secure. Tompkins Die State 1/1. Star 8 is high relative to the cap, diagnostic for B-1, the rarest 1825-dated variety. This dusky powder-blue and tan-brown example is well defined for the designated third-party grade. Marks are trivial save for ticks on the rim above the O in OF, and on the bases of the AT in STATES.
