Rare BG-225, Near-Gem
1855 25C Liberty Round 25 Cents, BG-225, Low R.7, MS64 PCGS.
Ex: Stecher Collection. A bold crack across star 4 is an identifier
for the rare BG-225. The reverse has several radial cracks but is
shared with BG-226. The obverse is apricot-gold, and the slightly
concave reverse is radiant butter-gold. Population: 3 in 64, 1
finer (3/18).Ex: Stecher Collection (Heritage, 3/2007), lot 2472, which realized $2,760.
