    MS66 Washington Head Octagonal Quarter, BG-722

    1872 25C Washington Octagonal 25 Cents, BG-722, MS66 PCGS. Large Washington head in a circle of well-formed stars. No berries in wreath, the entire reverse is spanned by a fine, almost microscopic die crack. Struck by Frontier & Bellemere. Not listed in Baker's original catalog of Washington coins and medals; listed in updated version as Baker 504B, R.8. Superb green-gold surfaces with soft mint frost.
