    BG-1122, MS65
    Finest Known

1873/2 $1 Indian Octagonal 1 Dollar, BG-1122, High R.6, MS65 PCGS. A Mohrig design with hand-engraved (over)date, in an earlier state with long base to the 1 on the obverse and still-long denticles. Gleaming yellow surfaces have just a touch of green, not uncommon for the alloyed state of California gold. This is the finest example certified at both services (4/18).
