Description

Edward VII gold Specimen Sovereign 1908-C SP64 NGC, Ottawa mint, KM14, S-3970. Engraved by George William De Saulles. Displaying a characteristically specimen finish for the issue, the strike bold and producing sharp design features that stand in clear relief against the lower-lying fields. Visually impressive and without any significant signs of handling visible to the naked eye, only the most trivial wisps and friction existing to preclude a full gem designation.
