Description

Mint Error. Elizabeth II 25 Cents struck on a dime planchet (1979), MS63 NGC. Large hoppers that hold coin blanks are often interchanged between denominations. If a coin blank from another denomination gets caught in a crack or seam of a hopper, it may be jarred loose when filled with other blanks and subsequently struck with the wrong dies. This apparently happened with the present, quite intriguing lot.
