Description
Victoria brass "Narrow 9" Cent 1859 VF20 PCGS, London mint, KM1. Although technically a pattern issue, these extremely rare brass emissions have ever been sought by enthusiasts of the copper coinage of Canada. The present offering, one of only nine certified by PCGS and surpassed in grade by only two, exhibits even circulation wear and moderate tone deepening into the recesses. Naturally, a number of light surface marks are present but none are individually bothersome. Indeed, being only the third example of this rare type we have had the privilege to offer and unquestionably the finest, another opportunity to acquire such a fine specimen may not avail itself again for many years. From the Schroeder Collection of Canadian Coins
