    Description

New Brunswick, 1862 1 Cent SPECIMEN 64 Brown PCGS. SPECIMEN 63 Brown ICCS. Nice mahogany patina with sharp details. This coin was issued as part of the extremely rare 1862 Specimen set. This is the first example of this great rarity that we have seen. No business strike coins were issued of this date and no one knows the exact Specimen mintage. At present, only two examples are known to exist and both have been certified as Specimen 64. This issue is missing from virtually all of the major collections and the sale of this piece represents a unique opportunity to acquire the rarest, non-pattern, New Brunswick coin. (PCGS# 33665)
