Newfoundland. Victoria Specimen Pattern Cent 1865 SP65 Brown PCGS, London mint, KM-Pn7, NF-7. Coin alignment, specimen strike. A captivating design featuring Queen Victoria graces the obverse, paired with a reverse design that mirrors the adopted look for the Nova Scotia and New Brunswick cents, save for slight differences in the wreath's foliage. This type is exceedingly rare, with only a small handful of specimens believed to be in private collections, noting the present selection only the third we have offered in ten years. This piece boasts a glassy obverse with olive and azure iridescence, enhancing its allure.
