    1942 1C Cent PR62 Red NGC, mottled gold and ruby-red color, faint hairlines; 1942 Type One Nickel PR66 NGC, nicely struck, a blush of peripheral apricot color; 1942 Dime PR66 NGC, well struck and gorgeously preserved, struck from rotated dies; 1942 Quarter PR65 NGC, brilliant and nearly pristine, a good strike; and a 1942 Half Dollar PR66 NGC, a sharply struck and snow-white Gem, lovingly preserved and irrefutably attractive. The final year of proof production until 1950, as World War II changed priorities at the Mint.
